The New Xbox Experience is scheduled to launch on November 19 as a free download, and will include an entirely new interface, expanded social networking tools including customizable avatars, a new "party system" and more.

The new Xbox experience is built with community as its foundation and requires everyone to upgrade. Once the update finishes the console will reload into the welcome page, and you will be able to begin exploring the new features and experiences on Xbox 360. Perhaps the most-hyped feature of the New Xbox Experience is what Microsoft is calling "Personality plus" and what the news media seems to believe constitutes a virtual world for Xbox 360 gamers to compete with the likes of the forthcoming PlayStation Home.
